A festive Power Automate community challenge hosted by Julie, Britta & Tiffany
Welcome to the first-ever 12 Days of Flows Challenge — a cozy, creative, holiday-themed Power Platform event where we sprinkle a little magic into the end of the year.
Whether you’re brand-new to flows or you spend your free time debating the best connector for notifications (we don’t judge), you’re invited.

Don’t worry if you don’t celebrate the same way this time of year, join the light-hearted fun and let’s come together for some fun.
Here’s how it works.
🎅 1. Start Date
We kick things off on December 1.
One flow idea will be released each day for 12 days.
Build along daily or catch up whenever — no guilt, no pressure. Enter by end of month, or so.
🎁 2. Daily Challenges
Each day you’ll get:
- A theme
- A short story or scenario (written with holiday mischief)
- A couple of constraints to make it interesting
- Optional: a festive curveball
Your mission:
Create any flow that satisfies the day’s theme + constraints.
There’s no single right answer — this is about creativity and community, not perfection.
❄️ 3. Choose Your Christmas Category
Pick whichever category feels like your vibe each day—or change it up as you go.
🎅 Santa’s Little Helper (Beginner)
Simple, sweet, and effective.
The good list energy.
Trigger + a couple actions and you’re golden.
🧝♀️ Workshop Elf Engineer (Intermediate)
You’re comfortable with loops, branches, and expressions.
Santa trusts you with productivity.
🦌 Reindeer Wrangler (Advanced)
Custom connectors, APIs, Dataverse wizardry, adaptive cards—
You keep the sleigh flying in a blizzard.
🎁 The Merry Mayhem Maker (Chaos Goblin energy)
You build flows that work, but the elves may gossip about how you got there.
Style points for festive chaos and unexpected brilliance.
❄️ Snow Day Freestyler (Wildcard)
Multiple versions?
Weird interpretations?
Experimental madness held together with tinsel?
Yes. That.
📤 4. How to Share Your Work
Share anywhere you want:
- Blog posts
- GitHub
- Screencasts
- A Slack channel
- Pictures of whiteboards with terrible handwriting (we’ve all been there)
